We were blessed with a glorious day for our walk from St Charles Borromeo, Measham where Catholic parish life was established in this area, to Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ashby. Around thirty parishioners and two dogs took part to celebrate the Centenary of our Church at Ashby. Most walked the full 7.5 miles, some different parts of the journey. Thanks to those who provided transport so that those who couldn't cope with the full route were still able to participate. Some of the walkers had taken part in "Rosary on the Coast" little more than a week ago. That day was cold and dark. As we said the Rosary on our walk today, about as far as you can get from the coast in this country, we experienced hot sunshine, and were very glad of the stops for rest and refreshment. Thanks be to God.
