Bishop Malcolm

Many of us will be sad this weekend to learn that our beloved bishop is to leave us on his appointment as Archbishop of Liverpool. We know, however, that the Holy Father has made a good and wise choice, that our loss will be Liverpool's gain, and we offer Bishop Malcolm our congratulations.
Bishop Malcolm's talks about his appointment, and encourages us in our faith journey in his Pastoral Letter, read at Mass this weekend.

Let us respond to Bishop Malcolm's request in the Pastoral Letter:
Please remember me in your prayers, as I will remember you each day in mine. Please pray for all those who will have a role to play in choosing a new Bishop of Nottingham, and for the College of Consulters, who will look after the Diocese until your new Bishop is appointed. Whoever the new Bishop will be, he will be richly blessed; our Diocese has a well-deserved reputation for being a warm, friendly and welcoming Diocese, as I found out for myself when I came here in 2000.
